S.W.A.T. stands for Student Welcoming Awareness Team and throughout Orientation Week that is exactly what this group of students is responsible for.

Each September, BUSU organizes a group of enthusiastic and energetic returning students to introduce Brock to the incoming first years and to welcome other returning students back to campus.

This group is often the first contact that students have with the University and we want to ensure that they are encouraged to get involved and to see what an awesome place they’ve chosen as their home for the next three, four, or however many years.

Be warned: This experience could change your life... for the better!

Personally, S.W.A.T. completely changed my University experiences and I am terrified to think what it would have been like without this amazing opportunity. I met the majority of my friends through this experience, became engaged in the learning process, and applied for this position, all as a result of my simple decision to volunteer.

S.W.A.T. volunteers are invited to return for “Frost Week” as “Frosties” to welcome students back for the second semester.
