The Brock University Students' Union recognizes there are many students in our community in serious financial need. At the Students’ Union, we do not want to see any student go hungry or be forced out of their residence because of financial reasons. BUSU offers interest-free short-term loans and grocery vouchers for students experiencing immediate unmet financial need. This short-term aid cannot replace longer-term solutions. For more information, please visit Brock University's student aid and awards site. If you need help budgeting, Financial Aid offers peer advisors to help create a budget plan that works for you. Food VouchersStudents with very short term financial need which doesn’t allow them to be able to afford groceries can set up an appointment with the Vice President Finance & Administration, Sameer Iqbal, to pick up a $25 gift certificate which can be used at local grocery stores. Please make sure you bring along your student card as well as another piece of Photo ID when you come in. Students are able to access the Food Voucher program a maximum of 2 times per semester and 3 times over the entire year as we are working with limited resources and must try to make this service available to as many students as possible. There must be at least 2 weeks between receipt of this form of Aid. To set up an appointment, you can contact the VPFA directly by phone at (905) 688-5550 ext. 3184, by email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
